Thanks, yes, I've let my rollout continue and 13/3(2) and 8/3(2) 6/1(2) are exactly even after 6000+ trials. I'll let it go a while longer, but it seems that you are right that the plays are about even for DMP, so with even a small gammon value (and with gammons come at least some backgammons) blitzing is probably right.
