How about a Java Cup, for final matches that don't end until 2 a.m.?

The terms "Main," "Consolation" and "Last Chance" are just fine. Everybody knows what they mean. "Gold Cup" trophy or "Consolation Cup" trophy ... either way, in my house they end up as an ash tray, in a box in the garage, or the recyling bin. My very nicest first place trophy, however, has a place of honor in the back of the closet (it's very nice).

The name games remind me of World Backgammon Federation tournaments, where the open flight is called the "Masters Flight," the intermediate flight is called the "Champions Fight" and the novice flight is called the "Intermediate Flight." Nobody's fooled.
