I just love politically correct individuals.

The horror and personal damage that must accompany ownership of a Last Chance Finalist Trophy, rather than a Bronze Cup Participant Award, is unimaginable to most of us.

Perhaps some of their suggestions which have worked so well in children's sports and other aspects of life should be considered in backgammon tournaments.

Maybe we could not keep score. Just everyone play everyone else and all go home happy. No one is disappointed.

And why should the game be so confrontational -- one against another? We could just negotiate and arbitrate our respective moves for the mutual benefit of both and the glory of the game.

I know, no trophies for winning. EVERYONE just gets a participation trophy.

No need for anyone to study and work to improve their game. It wouldn't matter. Everyone is treated the same. No need for incentives and rewards.

.... Well, it's not for me.

Perhaps they should just keep their politically correct ideas and socialism in their own lives and leave the rest of us alone.
