I almost replied immediately, then, after typing a paragraph of rant, decided maybe others would feel differently, deleted it, and waited for others to reply.

Apparently, for once, everyone agrees with me lol Darin being the most succinct with "show me the money".

When I entered my first bg tourney in the US roughly 3 years ago I was completely unaware there would be 3 brackets. I showed up, lost, and was moved to the consolation. I remarked to someone at the time, no idea who, why do they call it consolation? (and then last chance is even worse) It's the loser's bracket, call it what it is. You don't want labeled a loser, don't lose.

I don't like chalking up the name to make ppl feel nice & fluffy about themselves or to promote the event, which is why I was turned off by the possible name of the Costa Rica tournament. It's possible nobody else thinks of it in that way, but you toss "New World" in front of something it comes off as trying too hard to be grandoise to me.

Stick ... swayin' to the rhythm of a new world order ...
