If the probability that a child is a girl is 1/2, and a couple has two children, and at least one of them is a girl, then the probability that both children are girls is 1/3.
Similarly, if the probability that a die rolled will show 4, 5 or 6 is 1/2, and two dice are rolled, and at least one of the two dice shows a 4, 5 or 6, then the probability that both dice show a 4, 5 or 6 is 9/27, or 1/3.
