Neil replies: I thought it would be useful in causing Stick to dance or to have some bad rolls from the bar..ie missing my blot(s) if I hit back a couple times trying to survive his blitz.

As we saw earlier, when you put people into unusual positions..(here Stick lacks his 6 pt) the opp is more likely to make real errors. I've seen this time and time again and vs even very strong players both online and in person. For an example of this, note earlier when I overplayed my 55 and attacked and then played on for a G also improperly, but Stick passed the cube from the roof, which he should have scooped up at the score.

My point is that sometimes when faced with less than unusual situations, people make some major mistakes.
