Looking at the position, my first thought was that this is clearly a next?! Then I saw that it isn't. I play bar/23 6/5. Hard to both hit the new blot and cover (I count six rolls). Moreover, if the blot on our five is hit we may form an anchor, which may become important. Lots of upsides to this play: unstacks, starts the most valuable inner board point, aims for a good four prime, ....
