Thanks Gregg. I actually went and read all the rules so I will stop asking dumb questions about them now. :-) Nice website, BTW.

Yes, I am familiar with all the different timing methods (Bronstein, Fischer, etc.) and have a clock that does them. 12 seconds strikes me as a little fast, given that you must pick up the dice, shake them, and get a legal (flat dice) roll in addition to deciding on your move and making it. A match with a relatively high proportion of long games could present both players real time difficulties. Still, I'd rather play with a defined time limit than with a fuzzy one. But apparently I'm in the minority.
