Olympics Swimming questions

If schedling wasn't an issue, he would also compete in the 100-meter freestyle and probably be the favorite. But that would be about it. This would add 3 more 'swims' to the 17 he already has. He'd also be tough in the 50-free, but I don't know if he's every done that or not.
He's hasn't focused on the other two strokes (backstroke, breaststroke) to compete in those events, though his demonstrated skills in the individual medleys show he would at least be competitive in the 100 or 200 back or breast, though not THE favorite.
There really isn't any swim meet where time would allow him to do much more than he did here, especially with the number of qualifying rounds required at the Olympics.
The thing that freaked me out is how much he swims outside of the races. They showed his schedule for yesterday (where he had two races) and he was set to swim 8300 meters including all the warm-up and warm-down swimming. Insane!
