Thanks for the insight guys, and the links. I don't doubt the above statement, but I do find it counter-intuitive...by definition more information should be available to the bot with 3-ply vs. 2-ply, so it should be able to make better decisions with more information. Perhaps this is also explained in the link but I've been too lazy to drill down right now- I'm taking inspiration from Stick in the laziness department, although I don't think he's as lazy as he'd want us to believe with all the work he puts into this site. (Thanks Stick!!)

And by the way, I am just kicking the crap out of Synapse_BOT on VOG. :-)
