Almost everyone hits in these type situations, almost everyone makes a .02 - .04 error in these types situations. It's usually right to make the 9pt. I don't have any hard & fast rules for when it's right v. wrong because it always seems to be correct to make the 9pt. Does the checker on the opponent's bar make it more appealing to hit? Possibly, but since I don't know for sure, I lock up the 9pt.
