After Blue hits, if White misses, he probably makes the bar point. Then Blue is a mere 2-1 favorite to make the 5 point. In my book, that's definitely not enough potential gain for the risk of being hit. Therefore, I would take the concrete asset of the 9 point, minimizing White's jokers and keeping him under pressure.
