More likely they concluded they don't have evidence to disqualify her. I'm surprised science doesn't have some kind of test for measuring age. (Like cutting off a limb and counting the rings?)

Why is this rule there in the first place?

The Guinness Book of Records no longer publishes, for example, records for consuming bicycles. That won't stop people from trying to eat their bike, but at least Guinness doesn't encourage it.
