I think you forgot about the exponents on the probabilities. The 8 will stay the same, but the (20-x) will change.

The closest integer I got was x=12, for a probability of .0000000357.

That's quite surprising. Rolling eight 5-2's in twelve rolls is about the same level of freakishness as eight 5-5's in twenty rolls.
