Thus over time we can expect that as we get wealthier as a species, we will also get less smart.

Sorta' funny movie with this premise: Idiocracy

It's by Mike Judge, I think the Beavis & Butthead creator. It's pretty funny in the beginning, but it does wear a little thin even though it's less than 90 minutes. As you might guess, it can be a little crude.

Not a highbrow movie. :-)
