I have plenty of "bullshit" in my life, but you're a generation younger so your brain is more plastic. Now I find myself forgetting things that twenty or even ten years ago I'd involuntarily remember in detail. To combat those effects, my reaction is to keep doing what I've always done. I can think in point-numberings with no trouble because that's what I've done for decades. That's more efficient for me, whereas you integrate nactation into your repertoire as a simplifying function. I fantasized about doing the same, but this "both, each, near, tower, cross" stuff is too unnatural for me.
