I realize I opened this can of worms re Nactation and I appreciate all the informative and civil responses. I wondered at first if I might get flamed at a little bit because I realize Nack Ballard is a legendary figure in backgammon and my body of work in backgammon does not compare to his, so who am I to question his notation? (This is like saying my body of work in basketball does not compare to Michael Jordan's).

I'm very appreciative of all of the experts at this site who are willing to share their backgammon knowledge.

I now fully accept Nactation for what it is intended for, not as a complete unambiguous system, and I see the value in it and will embrace it as such.

Please, make the black helicopters go away now.
