Now, I remember your position and agree that split is the worst (between best three moves) with 10-11 White's checkers into zone ready to attack. Also we are behind in race and new builder for prime important barpt making purpose looks better for me than pretty distribution after 8/5 6/5. I have to remember few things here, don't split when you are behind in race and your opponent has enough wood into zone to blitz you and there is reasonable alternative on your side of the board even in opening game stage.
