If I make the point, White is likely to make one too, maybe even a better point, and a slight plus at best. If I run one man, White may: Either make a point - in which case I am likely to make one too, and with one man out of Dodge, I have a significant plus. Or White may hit in the outfield, in which case I have a ton of returns on either side, and we're in slugfest where anyone may come out on top.

So in aiming for the run I seem to get at least a shot of securing an advantage, while being seemingly 50/50 otherwise.

Not very scientific reasoning, but 24/13 for me.
