I think it is fun to play to the crowd.
You agreed after the event that you should have redoubled, but now that the math supports not doubling you have changed your mind?
It plays easily and fast if you miss, yes. But I would trade a fast loss for a huge psychological edge of winning 4 points. It's a matter of style... But redoubling puts another leg on the parlay.
He must take to see you miss the double shot.
If you are sure that he would take, you read people better than I do.
...This is ridiculous. I play to win not to be exciting. You make a point about Adam playing worse if I keep the spectators around but if I miss the shot his position plays pretty easily doesn't it.
I also play to win, and I do okay. Using pressure is a little better than using math, I have found. It is just my opinion that you should have redoubled it's not a LAW. Even if everyone playing in the open would take that redouble, 80% of them would hate it. Even me! Do I want it to come down to dice? Heck no. That is WHY I redouble, then the dice may not get involved. Fear works against people under pressure. That is far from ridiculous, trust me. Many players seek to lengthen the match and postpone judgement day. I try to provoked judgment, because sometimes it is bad.
You hit and won 2 points. You lost from 5-6/9, maybe you would have won from 7-6/9???
