Adam's Cube Decision vs. UBK

I accept your decision, and respectfully disagree. I have one more question for you, Bob... and I am being objective when I ask it, not critical, ok?
You rolled instead of redoubling in less than 3 seconds, probably less than one. As a math teacher, I will respect that you have the ability to know the math that quickly, maybe even I do. However, I would have stopped to consider and I would have needed to recalculate the math whereas you and Stick and Neil might not.
This pause gives me a minute to consider my opponent and his possible reaction to a mathematically incorrect redouble on my part. I'll definitely look at the guy, at least to see his reaction. The beauty of this system is two-fold. One, I can discard taking advantage of you, Neil, or Stick right away! One NEVER gives those guys this redouble, you get to pick the people you give it to, which obviously improves your chances of stealing 2 points.
Second, it gives my opponent, who is feeling the pressure already, [having rolled bad], some time to talk himself into a decision if he is undecided. Quick redoubling has the effect of provoking a quick response and a quick response is more likely to be correct, (first instinct). Pausing makes people stop to think, while the watchers inch closer. Not wanting to make a mistake in front of the watchers has opponents thinking about other things besides the position. He is already wondering why he is having so much trouble getting past the deuce anchor for sure! Why does this always happen to me??? (is the question in his mind).
I know how good you are at math, I have no idea how good Adam is. I do know Adam was nervous.
Wouldn't it be wise to stop to consider the emotional/psychological angle before rolling immediately? Even if you eventually decide not to redouble?
As for checker plays, you always make a wrong move if you never consider the right one as a possibility. You may not believe that pressure and tension and doubt are powerful allies, but you might want to try it.
Imagine neapolitan ice cream, and assume that you like chocolate and I like strawberry. We will both eat vanilla. I have tried chocolate, but you dismiss strawberry without tasting it. You may be missing a treat!
I respect your ablilty, just happen to disagree with your execution in this case.
