I don't know Steve Brown but man it would have been cool to see him run the table and finish undefeated at Madison.

I lived in Massachusetts for a little while so I like the Patriots a little bit and man it would have been cool to see them run the table and win the Super Bowl. (More to shut up those '72 Dolphins than to see the Patriots win).

On the other hand I'm a St. Louis Cardinals fan and I didn't mind seeing them win the World Series a couple years back even though they barely won a weak division with an 83-78 record.

Steve's undefeated run in the Swiss rounds earned him an immediate .5 equity share in the playoffs. The other three 6-2 guys went in with .25 or .125 equity shares. Steve was rewarded for his run. He just didn't close the deal. Maybe not his fault. Backgammon is a cruel game, no? If it was fair, I would be undefeated!! :-)
