43B 43B 61 long rollout

Back in the good old days, I would always make the 7 point in such a position and would have scoffed at a play like 24/18 10/9. I would have said that the 9 point was insufficient compensation for the huge amount of exposure. I would have been right, it seems 8-).
I'm glad I still make the right decision here, but I thought this rollout would turn out closer.
What's different about backgammon nowadays is that people realize that it's much more often right to "come under the gun" (under attack by three or more lines of builders on a point your opponent would like to make)--e.g. replying with 62S to opening 32D--so they're much less afraid to make plays like 24/18 10/9. Also, people seem to value the 7 point less now than they used to, probably because they know the lone bar point needs a builder or two behind it in order to help unstack the towering 6 point. Thinking about that some more, we see that in this position the builders are already there, and opponent is less developed with blots to worry about, as well as duplicated numbers. So, take that valuable 7 point!
