As I made my OtB play I said to Richard something along the lines of "either I'm making a good play or one hell of an overplay blunder". I couldn't decide which it was as I cleverly played 24/23 10/6. The good news is that on 2ply GNU has the plays as equal, with the slight edge in favor of my play, the bad news lies before you. Such a small error won't haunt me, and in fact I'm glad I saw the other play OtB, it means I'm not on autopilot as much as I think.
The need, in this position, as I saw it OtB, was to get the back men moving. The 9pt is a decent point but devalued here as my opponent already has the golden anchor. I guess I can wait and split next turn, but to me it seems a turn too late.
