In Response To: 2 ply truncated ROLLOUT (pontiac)

JSD = joint standard deviation.

The JSD between play A and play B is: the square root of ( the square of the standard error (standard deviation) of play A + the square of the standard error of play B).

1 JSD corresponds to about 68% (i.e., that the same rollout parameters will produce the same result about 68% of the time), 2 JSDs correspond to 95%, 3 JSDs to 99.7%, and 4 JSDs to 99.99%, although it may be somewhat less than that due to bias.
