Needing only to win the game, I wouldn't shift to the ace, but I do think it's clear any time that gammons or BGs matter. 3/2*(2) is a consideration but I think it's rejected, since you're too short on builders to make the three point. So, at DMP, after 9/8* I don't really care how the other three are played as long as they're not breaking up the 4-prime. 8/7, 16/15*, 13/12*, 23/22*, pick three.
