I like to slot the bar point and the 11 point quickly, and look at it. I used to make that play too, but it made my hand sore when the bots slapped it with their robotic arms.

Pshycologically that is the strongest play, (whether it is right or not), because mostly it works and gives your opponent a feeling of helplessness. On the downside, it equalizes the race when he hits you off the bar.

Anyway, the bots play a more vanilla form of backgammon. 24/22 (2) and 13/9 is pretty logical and safe. But if we are not going to make the bar point then it seems like we are going to be attacking that man when he comes in to realize the gammons those outfield checkers represent.

White's biggest problem is his back men, so I think he ought to split them and the time to do that is while blue is on the bar. Recognizing his board and positional superiority White can take some risk by also spreading his builders around. Slotting the bar is maybe a little too much, but how about 13/9, 13/11?

I'll try that: 24/22, 13/9, 13/11.
