Problems with 501

The way I feel about all relatively modern backgammon books is that they are worth reading. Even the books where so many things are incorrect, like 501, you get a bunch of problems, you make your play based on your own reasoning, you then check it against what Robertie had to say and see if you agree/disagree, then, you check it with a bot to see who was right.
I personally think that Kit's books are some of the best out there. I'm also a whore for Nack & Paul's last book because of my opening phase obsession & the precise way which everything is presented. (also knowing I don't have to recheck the authors' rollouts) Bootcamp was decent, and Praxis was a nice set also.
