The four point is almost always right in these, but here it leaves Blue with a flat position, facing a double shot against his blot, and still only 8 checkers going forwards. If he plays 15/11 13/11, he still has a flexible position with spares, builders to make the 4 and bar points, and 10 checkers going forwards. Plus he's ahead in the match, so he doesn't want to get 3 checkers back.

However...the four point is almost always right in these.

8/4 6/4. At least 3s and 1s are duped. The 11 point just isn't worth nearly as much as the 4.
