In Response To: A critical cube from Pitt (neilkaz)

First is it a take? No, sure looks like a drop. 1's and 25 are huge, all 6's are good, and after most other rolls, the pressure is on white to roll a 1 to get back in the game.

Then, may blue be too good? Could be, but it is easy to see bad things happening, like never getting that 6; throwing a dud now, have white reply with 1 and hit; or merely ending up with only one white checker closed out, or hitting the second checker and white anchoring, which may lead to white getting off the gammon anyway. Also there is high volatilty, and white may easily get back into the game in one roll. Lastly note that the possibility to cube white out later if play on now, may also be somewhat diminished by us not getting full gammon value on an 8 cube.

All in all, I say double/pass
