"If you believe in something enough to go public, you should be willing to accept an absolute disadvantage to defend your beliefs. Saying "well, I'm against it but if I don't allow myself to use the rule as written then I'm putting myself at a disadvantage WRT the rest of the field" is weak, IMO"

When it comes to rules changes in a game I entirely disagree.
