Yes.

How did you get over it?

Stick's suggestion is good, for once. It's not really something to "get over", either you do, or you don't.

Don't think I will ever get over my chess burnout. I never want to play in a chess tournament again, if I can help it. That said, I'm happier playing BG than I was playing chess, and I still enjoy playing blitz once in awhile or teaching people chess.
