I would prefer 16/9 over 16/10 9/8. 16/10 9/8 may be slightly better for long-term flexibility but I don't think it outweighs the swing on 44.
I think I'd play 16/9 for money. Not worth as much risk when Blue is already a favorite to win a gammon.
