I would tell you I would not recube this, the take too easy with your opponent leading in the race, board strength, and when you miss hitting the extra blot your game can be quite unpleasant. I'd rather hit, have him enter, and give him a real decision one you've evened the race and gained control of the outfield.

As for your play of the 52, very wrong for sure. (24/16 8/6, leaving one extra shot, may be the way of choice, but either that or running were certainly the way to go)
