I think if it is not quickly resolved in some fashion it may well hurt all discretionary activities for individuals, including backgammon tournaments.

I can't believe they're taking a three day break for a religious holiday -- I'm not Jewish, but I wouldn't care if it was Christmas. This crisis is that serious. And within a week or so they're looking at a month+ pre-election congressional break.

I think any representative or senator, regardless of party, not focusing his/her full attention to this issue until it is successfully resolved should not be re-elected or, in the case of those senators not up for re-election, recalled.

McCain and BarryO should be paying attention to the country as well.
