A 6-1 to play

Nice analysis, Achim.
I'd like to add a few comments to the analysis: It is not so easy to safety the blot after you run. Here chances are you'll be attacked and it'll be very difficult to rescue the blot afterwards. White won't mind hitting loose trailing bigtime in the race and having made his deuce which is good for attacking. Also, even if you do get away with the running play, you're still nowhere near a good cube as long as white sits on your 5p.
I don't like the bar point play as you can't prime white and you risk losing connectivity when you give up the midpoint.
I like hitting on ace here. You have a dilly builder on 4p which is good for attacking and perhaps building ace. As you're far ahead in the race, forcing white to come in high in your board may help your racing chances a bit, enabling you to dump a few checkers if you get awkward rolls. (I know dumping is not good for the race but here the race is close to gin if no further hits happen in the game).
