Tough choice. Too many players run too soon from the 5 pt anchor but it may be correct here due to timing, inspite of clean up issues if you, as is likely survive the attack. 8/1x seems OK, but in general the fewer checkers I put on my ace pt behind opp anchors in the midgame the more games I win. The bar pt is a nice pt here, but is it worth a 23 number shot ?

20/13 for me I think.
