As a participant in the above diagramed position, the readers may be surprised to find that I was not the one who was whining.

To set the record straight, I don't think HG actually DID whine when he rolled this. He said something about it after the game, not appreciating low doubles or whatever... Then I told him he DESERVED the 32 for missing the redouble. He also missed a redouble the turn BEFORE in a 3 roll position.

Anyway twice I closed him out and got hit in the bearoff in this match, or I would have won. But I don't think HG whined, really. He agreed he deserved to roll the 32, even.
