Don't know how good a baserunner he was in general but running the bases agressively is not the same as running the bases in a way that is good for your team. I do know that he had 198 stolen bases vs 149 times caught stealing for a 57% success rate which is not good.

His lifetime on base percentage is .375 Best career OBP is Ted Williams at .482. 25th best all time is .424 So his is far away from being one of the highest ever.
