Yes. The original Biggio change from catcher was to save a good offensive, speedy player from the rigors on the legs of catching, probably adding to his career. And that doubtlessly worked. He moved to center to accommodate team personnel -- I think when they signed Jeff Kent to play second for 2-3 years -- and then he moved back to second.
