"Jackson ranks in the top ten career leaders in OPS+, which is basically just OPS adjusted for league averages. It makes for a decent way to compare hitters across eras of baseball. The top five all time gives you a pretty good sense of it's reliability: Ruth, Williams, Bonds, Gehrig, Mantle. Not bad company for Number 7, Shoeless Joe.
Jackson manages to reach this amazing OPS+ score with just 54 home runs in 4981 at bats--one home run in every 92 at bats, and the man posted a career slugging percentage of .517. (That slugging number is helped by his career .356 BA.)"

His home run totals were dead ball era.
Putting hin in would be spitting in the eye of baseball politicians. This would be good.
