What I was trying to say is, that however the ball is pitched, it is possible to hit a homerun. And if it is possible, it is possible more often. And of course, for my argument, it does not really matter, if it's a homerun or a single. It is the "more often" which is important. It is not hard to believe, that someone extremly skillful could succeed considerably "more often", whereas it is unlikely, that someone extremly skillful could do something considerably "harder", "faster", etc, since there are inherent limits on how fast something can be done. It is much harder to define such limits for "more often".
