Now I see that there is still no urgency for split. White has no new inner or blocking points and he is not threat to make some prime. Second argument is well known second spare on 8pt. GNUbg really doesn't like to split into those stacks and to give Stick some super jokers like 33 55 53 are. Two down are nice for 5pt or barpt making purpose, which are both fine points with White still having his both back checker at 24pt.
