in my estimation any such fight that Rose was in, and that most of us have likely been in, was an emotional reaction to occurrences in a heated game; further, in my estimation, winfield's activities were gang thuggery, more of an animals gone wild scenario; and the intent was to injure/maim, if not kill; in my opinion there was certainly a racial hatred/chip on the shoulder element as well

for all these reasons, and more, I have no use whatsoever for winfield and think it an embarrassment that he is in the Hall
