Given that I'm unfamiliar with "this stereotypical 5 back with one on the bar v. 6 back with one on the bar position," I'll fall back on PRaT. With his made 5 and bar points, and resulting 4 prime, Stick has better position. He leads the race (but there's a long way to go). He threatens to put a second blot on the bar, perhaps pointing on our head, and then he might gammon us. Since Stick has Position, Race, and Threats, I'm gonna drop.
