1) 24/20* 16/15 White timing is not great but staying on the 24 point seems dangerous since White may well win forwards. If there was a good 4, maybe 24/23 and the 4 elsewhere would be better.

2) Bar/21* 9/8* Not Bar/24* for sure. Then 9/8* seems better than 24/20*. 6/5 or 5/4 look awkward here but if there was a useful non-hitting ace (if the spare on the 5 was on the 4 for instance), I think I would not hit.
