A player's equity in the LC is nearly irrelevent

A typical 64 player ABT event has ABT pts paid in the following ratio: Main 4,2,1,1 Conso 2,1 LC 1.
There are 58 players in the LC and just one of them will win 64/12 ABT points ie 5.33 Each players' equity is therefore .092 ABT points in the LC !! Additionally, each players money equity is likely to be no more than $20 in the LC again assuming all start as equals.
With so little at stake in the LC, its existance causes many many time issues late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. Its existance causes conflicts on Sunday with doubles, masters and blitz playoffs and finals.
It is so very clear that by using a progressive LC that at least three rounds of LC get played on Satuday and that frees up quite a few players as they will be out of the event. It also means that a delayed conso match is less of an issue and that fewer players are suffering by playing well after midnight or getting up to play prior to 10AM.
Since LC means so little in the grand scheme of things and since it causes so many issues and conflicts, doesn't it make sense to make it progressive where it is less of an issue ?
It CERTAINLY does.
