Peoria time default and summary of issues

But I've seen these same very few individuals put on a clock and, voila!!, they can play at a reasonable speed. It's ridiculous that the inconsiderate serial slow players of a very few causes all this consternation.

I think I am probably a slow player. I think I play faster when I am using a clock. Am I a bad person? What about others like UBK? I don't think I will go into slow players who are not on this forum since I don't know them very well and everyone has some different ideas about who the slowest are.

On the other hand, although I use a lot of time on some decisions, I play the openings extremely quickly and don't use too much time on simple bearoffs and the like. Also, although I play slowly, I usually don't play at such a ridiculous pace that I hold up the tournament. And I certainly don't come back late from the dinner break, particularly when I am already behind.
