This is a pretty funny post.

Thanks to Linda and all the staff, as well as to you and Ed Zell and the rest of the friendly locals for providing a great tournament atmosphere. I'll definitely be returning.

As to the Larry Liebster match, it seemed to me that it was close to a won position when he lost on time. It was not gin, but it looked to be well over 90% from my angle. But if Larry got 15 seconds per move (and I believe you when you say that he did), then I feel much less sorry for him than I did when it happened. It seems to me that 15 seconds a move in addition to the reserve time should be enough for anyone.

IMO, in the most extreme case (a player without use of his hands who must use a surrogate to roll the dice and move the checkers), 15 seconds should be enough for the surrogate to call out the roll, receive instructions from the actual player (who has several seconds to think about his play), make the move and punch the clock.
