I apologize to Mel Leifer for leaving his name off of the Open level notables/boogoliners list, I'm not sure if he trolls this forum or not, I'm not sure what his track record is in the ABT, but the backgammon community is indebted to him for the time he puts in maintaining the Gammon Links page from Bill Davis's site, plus he's one of my loyal club players, so I don't want to tick him off, even if he is an Iggles fan.

And, he did knock off UBK in the consolation round.

I figure if I manage to win I'll have won as much this weekend as UBK would have from his summer in Europe, HAD he invested it in the stock market. Which he didn't!

Neil Kazaross is playing Mary Hickey right now in the Consolation semi-finals, with the winner to play Rod Colvin in the Conso finals. So I guess anyone with any hopes of overtaking Neil in this year's ABT point race (if that's even a remote possibility) would pull for Mary. :-)

The wireless in this hotel doesn't seem to work and I'm about to unplug from the cable in the room, but I'm a local yokel so I'll stick around until everything's done and provide an update when I get home this evening.
